Today, Porch Conversion is the largest sunroom and patio enclosure company in the Carolinas. Operating out of Wilmington, NC, the company services southeast and central North Carolina.   ### About the Company Paul and Mary Maki founded Porch Conversion in 1999 on the tenants of customer service, industry-leading products, and high-quality craftsmanship. They grew the business very successfully for years, installing hundreds of high-quality sunrooms around the Wilmington market. In 2013, the entrepreneurial couple decided to bring in two more partners: Scott Fitzgerald and Brian Walsh. Shortly thereafter, Tom began as a project crew leader. Both worked at the Porch Conversion a few years, before leaving to take positions at luxury homebuilding companies in the area. At the time, neither knew they would one day be the owners of Porch Conversion.  During their time at the company, Tom and Taylor built a particularly special relationship with Paul and Mary.  ### The Perfect Buyers When the Maki's decided it was time to sell, they engaged MidStreet to guide them through the process. Through initial discovery discussions with the Maki's, MidStreet learned about Tom and Taylor and added them to a list of potential purchasers. When Tom and Taylor learned of the potential opportunity, they were ecstatic and immediately moved forward.   Tom and Taylor purchased the business using an SBA 7(a) loan.
