About the Seller
Founded by Tom and Vickie Byers in April 1989, the store began with a 2000 sq. ft. retail facility. But as the Outer Banks grew in popularity among vacationers, so too did Stop N Shop. In 1998, the Byers decided to add 5000 sq. ft. of retail space, along with new underground gas storage tanks and pumps to take advantage of the growing demand.
Within walking distance of the busiest public beach access in the area, six major hotels, and many tourist destinations, Stop N Shop continued to attract large amounts of foot traffic over the years, becoming one of the busiest convenience stores on the beach.

Nayna and Jay Patel were searching for a convenience store with real estate to purchase in North Carolina when they found Stop N Shop. After learning about the opportunity, watching the marketing video, and reading the confidential information memorandum, they were very interested.
